The Tampa Bay Lightning have a lot of decisions that need to be made over the course of the off-season. Here’s a look at the Top 5 Free Agent targets the Lightning should have their sights set on.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have many unanswered questions going into Free Agency. The question looming in everyone’s minds at this point is who, if anyone, the Tampa Bay Lightning will pick up in the Free Agency Market? The Lightning doesn’t have much money to throw around, but they can still get some players to help win that Stanley Cup.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have several players they still need to sign. Big players such as Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos need to be signed. Between Stamkos, who will more than likely be looking for a big payday, and Kucherov who is well-deserving of a nice bump in pay, hopefully, there will be enough money left to sign the remaining contracts.

The Lightning was so close to the Stanley Cup last year and with a few more players to complete the puzzle they could find themselves that much closer to achieving their goal next season. They need more depth to their lines. If the Lightning can get more depth, there is no way they won’t win the cup.

There isn’t much hope the Lightning will have any big, blockbuster moves over the course of the off-season. They will not be able to sign many players because of salary cap issues, but they might be able to sign one player who will make a difference.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will have a good year next year. If the Lightning sign at least one key player this offseason, Lightning fans could be looking at a Stanley Cup team. Hopefully, Steve Yzerman will be able to find what he needs to prepare the Lightning for another successful playoff run and another chance to hold the Stanley Cup high above their heads.

As the Lightning prepare to embark on one of the most crucial parts of the off-season, let’s take a closer look at the Top 5 Free Agents the Tampa Bay Lightning should have their sights set on this off-season.
