The Tampa Bay Lightning has once again made the call to the Syracuse Crunch to recall forward Joel Vermin to the Lightning lineup.

The Tampa Bay Lightning seems to be doing one of the most complex dance routines in the entire world over the last few weeks. After losing four players to various injuries, the team finally started to get some of those players back into the lineup, they would once again make their way back to the injured list.

As such, the Tampa Bay Lightning has needed a lot of help from some of the team’s younger players within the organization. One of those very such players has been forward Joel Vermin. The Tampa Bay Lightning announced today via a Press Release the team has officially recalled Vermin to the Lightning lineup.

Judging by the way things have played out over the course of the last few weeks, there is a good possibility someone got tweaked during the game on Sunday night against the Dallas Stars and the team simply hasn’t made mention of said potential injury at this point.

Vermin has been a solid asset to the Tampa Bay Lightning this season; especially during the troubled times, they have been having in the final weeks of the season. Unfortunately, much of Vermin’s success hasn’t quite translated to the scoresheet just yet.

In the 17 games he’s played so far this season with the Tampa Bay Lightning, the 25-year-old Lightning forward has brought home three assists. On the other side of the game, Vermin’s numbers with the Syracuse Crunch paint a more accurate picture.

Over the course of the 43 games Vermin has played with the Crunch this season, the Czech native has brought home 12 goals and 16 assists for a total of 28 points. These numbers place Joel Vermin in the Top 10 on the team in terms of overall points.

Needless to say, the Tampa Bay Lightning is going to need all the help they can get tonight. The bolts are set to take on the Boston Bruins in what has become a critical, must-win game for the Lightning. If the Bruins walk away with the victory tonight, it will place them six-point ahead of the Bolts and may dash their playoff hopes.

So, to make a long story short, the Tampa Bay Lightning simply must bring their ‘A’ game tonight against the big, bad Bruins. One simple mistake could mean the difference between making flight reservations early next week or setting their upcoming tee times for the off-season. Only time will tell how this story will play out.
