The Tampa Bay Lightning are about to be back in action, and you can catch almost all the heart-pounding action throughout the season on Fox Sports Sun.
The time Tampa Bay Lightning fans have been waiting what seems like forever for is finally about to arrive. In just 15 short days, the Tampa Bay Lightning will take the ice at the Amalie Arena for the first time in the 2017-18 season as they square off against one of their closest rivals, the Florida Panthers.
As we all know, 19,000-plus fans will be filing into the Amalie Arena, located in the heart of Downtown Tampa, to witness the action for themselves. Unfortunately, the Arena can only hold so many people per game. This means millions of Lightning fans are going to have to find alternative ways of getting in on the action.
If your local sports bar is just not your scene, or you would rather watch the Bolts kick ice from the comfort of your own home, there is a perfect solution for you. Earlier today, Fox Sports released their schedule for the 2017-18 Tampa Bay Lightning season.

According to the release, Fox Sports Sun will be showing 76 of the Tampa Bay Lightning’s 82 regular season games. As you can imagine, this leaves the remaining six games to the crew over at NBC Sports. (Thank goodness for iHeartRadio, right?)
One of the best things about this news is even if you are on-the-go, you’ll never have to miss a minute of the Lightning’s on-ice action. Much like last season, each of the games being broadcast on Fox Sports Sun will also be available on the Fox Sports Go app, which is available for free in both the Google Play Store and the iTunes App Store.
The 2017-18 season is going to be like none other. As the Lightning take the ice in the spirit of competition and the fight for victory, the Lightning and their fans will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary Season. In light of this, there will be a new addition to the lineup this season.
Fox Sports Sun will be airing a total of 20 ‘Inside the Lightning Live!’ broadcasts. These episodes will take a closer look into the Lightning organization, their rich history, and a deeper look into some of the Lightning organization’s community initiatives.
