The Tampa Bay Lightning return to the Amalie Arena to take on captain Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals.

The Tampa Bay Lightning had an interesting start to the season. After an exciting opening night, which culminated with a 5-3 victory over their in-state rivals, the Florida Panthers, the Lightning traveled to Sunrise where they would once again take on the Panthers. This time, the Panthers would emerge victoriously.

Undeniably, the Lightning struggled defensively throughout their second encounter with the Panthers, and if they are going to add another notch to the win column tonight against the Washington Capitals, they are going to have to quell some of those defensive woes rather quickly, even if it means a change in the lineup.

The Washington Capitals are off to a heck of a start this season; more specifically, their captain Alex Ovechkin is off to quite a start this season. After what was widely regarded as a lackluster 2016-17 season, Ovechkin has started off the season scoring a whopping seven goals and a mere two games.

If the Lightning settles in and sits back the way they did against the Panthers on Saturday night, the boys in blue are going to have quite a bit of difficulty against the Caps tonight. The pace of the game is going to depend greatly on the Lightning’s ability to control Ovechkin’s ability to get the puck on the net.

There is no denying; tonight is going to be an interesting night of hockey. We here at Bolts By The Bay assure you, you won’t want to miss a single moment of the action. The good news here is, you won’t have to. Here’s a quick look at all the information you’ll need to stay on top of tonight’s action.
