The Tampa Bay Lightning has started off their 25th Anniversary Season in pretty stellar fashion. The Bolts hit a little snag in the road on Tuesday night when they finished off their second back-to-back series of the season with a 5-4 shootout loss to the New Jersey Devils, but picking up three points in four games isn’t a bad thing.
The good news here is the Bolts had a day to themselves to rest and recuperate before they had to lace up their skates and do it all over again. Tonight, the Lightning will make their way to the Nationwide Arena in the Buckeye State to take on captain Nick Foligno and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Blue Jackets have seen much of the same success the Lightning has experienced this season. In the six games they’ve played this season, they’ve only come up on the losing end of the ice one time. They have been pushed into extra time on two occasions, but their only loss came at the hands of the Chicago Blackhawks in the form of a 5-1 loss on October 7.

Unfortunately for the Blue Jackets, Milano has come up empty-handed in the last three games. This could be an opening for the Bolts.
On the other side of the ice, Lightning forwards Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos are tied for first place on the team in overall points. Kucherov, who has picked up goals and each of his seven games so far this season, has eight goals and four assists for a total of 12 points. Stamkos has registered two goals and 10 assists thus far for a total of 12 points.
