Tampa Bay Lightning vs. San Jose Sharks: Live Stream, TV Info, How to watch/listen
The Tampa Bay Lightning head out on the road for a Western Conference adventure, their first stop, the SAP Center to take on the San Jose Sharks.
The Tampa Bay Lightning had their fair share of obstacles on Saturday night when they took on the Columbus Blue Jackets. Thankfully, due to the heroics of Lightning netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy and the sheer power of the Bolts offense, they were able to emerge unscathed and defeat the Blue Jackets 5-4 in the shootout.
Now, the Lightning are headed on the road for one serious West Coast adventure. The first stop on their tour, which includes back-to-back nights, is at the SAP Center where the Bolts will do battle with captain Joe Pavelski and the San Jose Sharks.
The Sharks are 8-5-0 right now, which puts them quite a bit below the Lightning in the league standings. Despite a couple of tough losses, the Lightning remains in the Top 3 teams in the league, occupying the third place spot. This doesn’t mean the Lightning can let off the gas and give the Sharks any room.
The Sharks’ leading goal-scorer, forward Logan Couture, has already scored eight goals and four assists for a total of 12 points to go along with his plus-4 rating. In terms of assists, there is a two-way tie at the top. Sharks forward Joe Thornton and defenseman Brent Burns both grace the top of the list with seven assists each.
On the other side of the ice, it’s the usual suspects leading the way. Leading the way in goals for the team (and the league) is one half of the Lightning’s dynamic duo, Nikita Kucherov. The Russian dynamo has 14 goals and nine assists for a total of 23 points.

Just ahead of Kucherov in overall points is the other half of the Lightning’s dynamic duo, captain Steven Stamkos. Stamkos leads the team (and the league) in assists and overall points. In the 15 games the Bolts have played thus far, Stammer has brought home seven goals and 18 assists for a total of 25 points.
The Tampa Bay Lightning has more than enough offensive firepower to get the job done tonight in San Jose. What needs to happen in order for the Bolts to be victorious will be a good showing from the Bolts defense and, more than likely, another stellar performance from Lightning netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy.
It’s going to be a late one, and a long one for the Bolts tonight. Given the action is taking place on the West Coast; the puck is scheduled to drop at 10:30 pm EST. In other words, it’s probably going to be tomorrow before a victor is decided. In addition to this, the game will not be featured on the usual Fox Sports Sun.
As we anxiously await puck drop, here’s a closer look at all the information you’ll need to make sure you don’t miss a moment of the Lightning’s first of two games on the West Coast. Just keep in mind, you always have iHeartRadio if the commentary becomes too much for you to handle. You’re welcome.
