Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Boston Bruins: Live Stream, TV Info, How to watch/listen
The Tampa Bay Lightning finish off their road trip at the TD Garden in Boston where they hope to pick up another two points with a victory over the Boston Bruins.
The Tampa Bay Lightning kicked off their road trip-ending back-to-back series on the right foot with a 2-0 shutout victory over the Buffalo Sabres last night, but tonight the Lightning has a new challenge in front of them. Tonight, the Bolts charge into the TD Garden to take on the Boston Bruins.
The Bruins have always been known as a very physical team. Anyone who has watched the Lightning over the past couple of seasons knows this is an area where the team has lacked. If the Lightning wants to bring home those much-needed two points against Boston, they are going to have to be prepared to take it to the limit.
According to Boston Bruins Head Coach Bruce Cassidy, the Bruins will be going with Tuukka Rask between the pipes tonight. Rask hasn’t had much luck between the pipes as of late. He has lost his last four starts, including the Bruins’ 4-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday night.
It would be in the Lightning’s best interest to exploit Rask’s current shortcomings tonight in Boston. This means being aggressive with the puck, digging deep for rebounds, and shooting from even the dirtiest of places. If the Bolts can keep the pressure coming, Rask will soon allow his frustration to get the better of him, opening the door for a Bolts victory.
While one’s instincts would lead one to believe the Lightning would rest Andrei Vasilevskiy after the game he played last night against the Buffalo Sabres, there is more than a good chance Lightning fans see him back between the pipes tonight against Boston. There is truth in the fact that Peter Budaj needs to get more games in this season in order to keep the rust off, the Bruins are not the team to take a chance on.

The Bruins will have a little bit of momentum on their side tonight as they will be getting back two of their biggest stars. Defenseman Brad Marchand will make his return to the ice after missing the last six games with an undisclosed injury. Defenseman David Backes, who has missed every game the Bruins have played this month, will be returning to the Bruins lineup after undergoing colon surgery.
The Lightning is going to have to fight hard if they want to derail the momentum of the Bruins tonight; especially considering they’re in hostile territory. The good news is, the Lightning has more than enough firepower in their arsenal to get the job done. It’s all a matter of focus and determination tonight.
While Lightning fans anxiously await puck drop, let’s take a closer look at all the information one will need to stay on top of all the action between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruins tonight.
