If you haven’t already acquired your tickets to the 2018 NHL All-Star Game, you’re going to have to do some creative searching to get your hands on some.

The Tampa Bay Lightning has a unique opportunity this season as they get ready to host one of the biggest events of the season, the 2018 NHL All-Star Game. There are going to be all sorts of events going on over the weekend, but the two biggest will obviously be the All-Star Game itself and the Skills Competition.

Unfortunately, if you haven’t already acquired tickets to the big game or the skills competition taking place the day before, we have some pretty bad news for you. According to Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times, tickets to both the NHL All-Star Game and the NHL All-Star Skills Competition have sold out.

And no…your Season Ticket Member card won’t get you any special treatment. The tickets are sold out to the general public and Season Ticket Members. Honestly, given the way the Tampa Bay Lightning has been playing this season and the excitement around the event itself, this should come as no surprise.

Things are definitely going to get interesting come the weekend of January 26-28 in the Bolts Nation. In addition to all of the festivities which come with hosting the NHL All-Star Game, the Gasparilla Pirate Fest will be setting sail on Saturday, January 27.

If you have lived here in Tampa for any real length of time, you know what a big deal Gasparilla is to those of us here in the Bolts Nation. In other words, Downtown Tampa is going to be a pretty crowded place during All-Star/Gasparilla Weekend. Parking is going to be an absolute nightmare, but that’s another story for another day.

Were you one of the many left without a ticket in hand for the NHL All-Star Weekend at the Amalie Arena? Well, you have a couple of options at this point. The most obvious of these options is to seek tickets from a third-party source. There are plenty of second-hand ticket retailers out there, the only thing is you may be forced to pay a pretty penny for your seats.

Another option would be to head to your local sports bar and catch the game on the big screen with friends. Sure, you’re not inside the arena screaming your heads off, but you are still a part of the action and taking in the festivities with a couple hundred of friends you never knew you had.

In addition to the NHL All-Star Game and the NHL All-Star Skills Competition, there are going to be a number of free activities held all over the Bolts Nation during All-Star Weekend. The highlight of these events will be a free concert with Fitz and The Tantrums on Friday, January 26, at Curtis Hixon Park.

It’s going to be an exciting weekend filled with activities, music, and most importantly, hockey. If you are still in search of tickets and are willing to look for other outlets to obtain said tickets, you should get on this rather quickly. It won’t be long before all the tickets have been snatched up from the secondary market as well.
