In the final game of January, the Tampa Bay Lightning (31-15-1) play host to the Los Angeles Kings (28-17-6) tonight with puck drop set at 7:00 p.m. ET. FanDuel has the Lightning as a -205 favorite on the money line and an over/under at an even six.

The Lightning are red-hot at home having won 11 straight at Amalie Arena, including a win two nights ago against the league-leading Boston Bruins. A back-and-forth battle of physicality and impressive goals had the game at a 1-1 tie at the end of the 2nd period, and a 2-2 tie shortly into the third period. Victor Hedman came in with the game-winning goal off of a re-direct with 6:31 left in the game, lifting the Bolts to a 3-2 win. Andrei Vasilevskiy was fantastic for the Lightning yet again, making 37 saves in the victory. These 11 consecutive home wins also tie a franchise record, which is certainly going to be at stake tonight against the Kings.

The Los Angeles Kings are on the second night of a back-to-back, claiming a victory in Sunrise last night against the Florida Panthers, 4-3. Backup goalie Pheonix Copley made 45 saves as LA hung on for the win, marking three wins in a row during their road trip. This is their final game away from home as they now hold on to a 1-point Pacific division lead over the Seattle Kraken and the Vegas Golden Knights. The Kings are middle of the road when it comes to the second night of a back-to-back with a 2-2-1 record, so the Bolts will hope to take advantage here with an added day of rest.

Back in October, the Kings got the best of the Bolts in LA 4-2 to snap a 10-game losing streak against Tampa Bay. This being the only other meeting this season, the Kings laid on some heavy offense all game long and really stifled the Lightning. Only Brandon Hagel and Nikita Kucherov could salvage goals in favor of Tampa Bay while four different Los Angeles players found the back of the net. The Lightning will definitely hope to have a great home ice advantage tonight in a battle for redemption.
