Tampa Bay Lightning Announce Inaugural Fan Cruise

Earlier on Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Lightning announced via twitter that they will host a cruise made for Lightning fans around the state of Florida. The cruise will take place in January of 2024.

The specific dates for the cruise are January 12-16 and the boat will travel from Tampa Bay, to Key West, to Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, and back to Tampa Bay again.

The Lightning has partnered with Norwegian Cruise Lines and will use their boat Norwegian Jade for the cruise.

The trip will feature appearances by many big names from within the Bolts’ organization. This includes people like Dave Andreychuk, Phil Esposito, Brad Lukowich, and even Lightning’s mascot ThunderBug.

Some of the other amenities on the cruise include a picture opportunity with the Stanley Cup that includes an awesome backdrop of Key West, Florida. Other events include a casino night and question panel with Lightning Alumni and Legends and even ball hockey with Thunderbug himself.

Mark Pitts, the Lightning’s chief operating officer, and Vinik Sports Group were thrilled with the cruise taking place.

Registration for the cruise in 2024 opened on Tuesday, June 20th. The deadline to register ends on Sunday, June 25th at 11:59 p.m. E.T. This registration is for the first round of pre-sales, and they begin officially on Tuesday, June 27th.

The deadline to register for the final round of pre-sales is on Wednesday, June 28th, at 11:59 p.m. E.T. This pre-sale round begins on Friday, June 30th.
