Tampa Bay Lightning: Welcome back, again

Barre-Boulet was hoping for a breakout season this year with the big club. He spent almost all of last down in the minor leagues where he posted career highs for assists and points in 69 games with the Syracuse Crunch last season.

He was also selected as an AHL First-Team All-Star.

Unfortunately coming out of training camp for Barre-Boulet, he was beaten out by Austin Watson and Waltteri Merela for the last two slots on the roster for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Barre-Boulet was placed on waivers and cleared before officially being assigned to Syracuse. If and when Motte is taken off injured reserve, Barre-Boulet would once again have to clear waivers to go back to Syracuse.
