Pick No. 193 – Caleb Heil, G
With the 193rd pick in the seventh round of the 2025 NHL Draft, the Tampa Bay Lightning grabbed their first goalie: 19-year old Caleb Heil from the Madison Capitols of the USHL.
Heil stands at 6’2”, 196lbs and hails from Victoria, Minnesota.
Heil was acquired by the Capitals in 2024 from Sioux Falls. He recorded a 3.86 goals against average a .870 save percentage.
He has been a part of the USA U18 team at the World Junior U18 Championships. He played in one game and did not allow a goal.
In 2024-25 Heil posted a 2.85 GAA/.896 save percentage for Madision in 39 games played last season. He was also a four-time goalie of the week in 2024-25.
He is known as abeing a goalie who plays the puck well in the crease and behind the net.
Heil is currently committed to North Dakota for the 2025-26 season.
Pick No. 206 – Roman Luttsev, C
With the 206th pick in the seventh round of the 2025 NHL Draft, the Tampa Bay Lightning selected center Roman Luttsev from Yaroslavl Jr. or the Russia Jr. league.
He is a 6’0”, 170lb left-handed shooter.
In 2024-25 between Yaroslavl Lokotiv, Yaroslavl Loko-76, and the Yaroslavl Loko Jr., he scored 33 goals, had 36 assists, for 69 total points, and 26 penalty minutes incurred in a combined 54 games he skated in.
Pick No. 212 – Grant Spada, D
With the 212th pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, the Lightning selected defenseman, Grant Spada from the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League.
Spada is 6’4”, 185lbs from Fort Erie, Ontario. The 18-year old has been with Guelph for the last couple seasons.
In the 2024-25 season, he had six assists and earned six points in 58 games played.
Pick No. 215 – Marco Mignosa, RW
With the 215th pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, the Lightning selected right wing, Marco Mignosa from the Soo Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League.
He is a 20-year old right-hander from Ontario, Canada.
The 6’0”, 158lb winger spent the last four seasons with the Soo Greyhounds of the OHL.
In the 2024-25 season, Mignosa scored a career-high 36 goals, had 49 assists, accumulated a total 85 points, and was + 10 om the season. His stats led the team and their bench boss, John Dean called the winger the “most consistent player all season long.”
He is known for leadership skills and overall talent on the ice. He has a great ability to stay calm and composed and encourages his teammates when they’re down to keep their heads in the game.
Tampa Bay always looks for character off the ice along with on it, and Mignosa provides both.
With Mignosa being selected at No. 215, that wraps up Tampa’s 2025 NHL Draft selections.
Free agency opens on July 1. Expect to hear Tampa’s name often as that date closes in.
