The 2013 NHL Draft is just around the corner. On June 30th, representatives from each of the teams in the National Hockey League will converge at the Prudential Center in New Jersey, home of the New Jersey Devils, to make their selections from the top prospects in the National Hockey League.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have a total of 6 picks in this year’s draft, the first of which being 3rd overall.

The Lightning will also select at position 33 in Round 2, once in Round 5 at position 124, in Round 6 at position 154, and twice in Round 7; once at 184, and again at 186 (acquired in a trade from the Carolina Hurricanes.)

The rumors are rampant as to who the Lightning will select. The Colorado Avalanche made waves when they stated that they would more than likely take a pass on top defensive prospect Seth Jones, a Colorado native.

Will the Lightning pursue a strong defensive player like Jones, or will they elect to go with more fire power in front of the net by selecting someone more like left wing Jonathan Drouin? We’ll only have to wait one day to find out.

Below you will find the complete order for the 2013 NHL Draft, as it stands now.
