Team Czech Republic is prepared to take on Team Canada in the second matchup of the 2016 World Cup of Hockey at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
The moment hockey fans around the world have been waiting for is almost here! Just a matter of weeks before the start of the 2016-17 season, some of the most skilled players in the National Hockey League are making their way to the Air Canada Centre in Toronto for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.
As most everyone here in the Bolts Nation is well aware of, the Tampa Bay Lightning are quite well-represented at the tournament. The Lightning have 12 players on various teams throughout the tournament as well as Lightning Head Coach Jon Cooper behind the bench for Team North America.
While the only Lightning player in the opening match of the tournament was Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop, the next encounter of the tournament will be a bit more strenuous for Bolts fans. Lightning captain Steven Stamkos will be taking the ice with Team Canada as Lightning forward Ondrej Palat and defenseman Andrej Sustr take their ice with their native Team Czech Republic.
