Angelo Resciniti, once a youthful sports writer for the long-defunct Hollywood (Florida) SUN-TATTLER, is the author of 30+ books -- many of them sports-related -- for young readers. He retired two years ago after 34 years happily teaching English and writing in Hillsborough County Public Schools. His former students include Lightning beat writer Erik Erlendsson and Lightning broadcast and radio personality Matt Sammon. Resciniti lives in Seffner. His wife of 32 years is a librarian and their daughter is an architect with HOK in Tampa. When he is not absorbed in all things Tampa Bay Lightning, Resciniti can be found book scouting for vintage paperbacks, hiking in the woods, goofing around with his computer and electronics, or reading a Florida-themed thriller. Resciniti has been a fan of the Tampa Bay Lightning since the team's inception in 1992, attending the very first public event held by the team as well as enjoying several debut-season games in the barn on the Florida State Fairgrounds.
