#186 overall – Joel Vermin, Right Wing, BernSwiss National League-A

The 21-year old Switzerland native played 47 games with Bern of the Swiss National League last season. In that time, he scored 13 goals and 22 assists for a total of 35 points.

Vermin has been with Bern over the course of the last 3 seasons. In his time there, he has scored a total of 25 goals and 38 assists for a total of 63 points.

Each season that goes by, his game has gotten better and better. He is a strong, fast skater with good hands who really doesn’t spend a lot of time in the penalty box.

If he has any downside to him, it is his physicality.

"[Vermin] can make high-light reel moves, but needs to get stronger, as he shies away from contact and can easily get pushed around.” ~ Rafik Soliman, EliteHockeyProspects.com"

I think pairing him up with someone like Adam Erne in Prospect Camp may do him some good. Exposing him to a more physical style of play may get him to open up a little more and take a risk.

After a small tweak to his physicality, I think he’ll be a good offensive asset to the team. He is someone that will have a good chance of jumping to the main roster after maybe one more year of development.
